The lore is meant to serve as a 'cartoon version' of our documentation and roadmap. It will be used to communicate how Autopilot works, and to emphasize important items on our roadmap. This guide explores some basic metaphors and the thought process behind the Tokemak Universe.
Our universe takes place on a frozen world, representing the harsh, stagnant state of liquidity prior to Autopilot's creation. This period is widely known as DeFi Winter. We plan to unfreeze DeFi liquidity, and progress on this mission will be visualized by the warming of the planet.
Within the stagnant wasteland is the Pilot Base, where we (the Tokemak V1 Pilots) retreated during the bear market. V2 was born out of the research and development we did as a team during this time. Our new product: Autopilot, will deliver automated liquidity to DeFi markets - autoLP is the new LP.
V1 Pilots represented Manual LPs which controlled the V1 system. V2 Autopilots represent autoLPs that automated their liquidity using Tokemak. The character evokes an enhanced or augmented biomechanical being, this is a direct parallel for LPs going from fully manual to automated liquidity provisioning.
Autopool contracts are the main point of interaction for end-users, it is where assets are deposited and withdrawn. At a system level, these ERC-4626 vaults represent a set of destinations where deposited assets may be deployed.
These pools connect liquidity that was previously isolated, they're purpose built to unfreeze stagnant liquidity in DeFi.
The Autopilot system architecture is comprised of the Autopools and 3 modules that support them: the stats system, the solver, and the strategy contract. These modules are represented in the lore as 3 Gigabrain AI entities: Seeker, Sentry and Solver. These software components 'talk' to each other onchain, in the same way that our Gigabrains talk to each other in the lore. It's a fun way to stylize it and it should deliver a sense of how the Autopilot system works for real.
